Associate Clinician

Qualifications

  • Proficiency or firsthand involvement in the BIPOC and QTPOC community is essential.

  • Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), Associate Professional Clinical Counselors (APCC)

  • Received degree from an accredited university

  • Registered to practice in California, and in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.

  • 1+ years of direct clinical experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, children, and/or families with demonstrated expertise in treating common mental health disorders through evidence-based practices

  • Possess experience assisting clients with advocacy in various settings, such as education and medical environments.

  • Comfortable with technology and interested in incorporating technology solutions into clinical care

  • Excellent communicator (verbal and written)

  • Loves working with clients and is passionate about social justice and mental health

  • Compassionate and caring demeanor

  • Ability to build rapport with clients

  • Must be willing to submit to a background check

Responsibilities

  • Willing to have a caseload of a minimum of 10 clinical hours per week

  • Perform clinical services to patients as scheduled

  • Complete documentation within 48 hours

  • Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to client sessions

  • Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics

  • Participate in Group Consultation and Team Meetings

  • Communicate with a patient's treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.)

  • Timely and accurate completion of written records for each patient

  • Ability to work proactively, independently, and with a high level of organization
