Dr. Kiley Dunne Lizama brings a wealth of expertise in providing Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) to K-12 students across North County San Diego. Her responsibilities include conducting detailed ERMHS assessments and crafting personalized mental health strategies for students. Dr. Dunne Lizama's role extends beyond individual counseling; she actively trains school districts and parents to effectively navigate complex trauma, systemic racism, and inherent biases that influence educational systems. Her interactive workshops aim to empower parents in supporting their children through challenges like anxiety, depression, and self-injurious behaviors, with the feedback from these sessions greatly enhancing her teaching methods and contributing to a dynamic and responsive educational environment.
In addition to her educational work, Dr. Dunne Lizama worked as a clinician and subsequently program manager for an anti-human trafficking program, training over a thousand individuals throughout California. This position has further refined her skills in trauma-informed care and has been crucial in incorporating culturally sensitive interventions that address and acknowledge intergenerational trauma.
At Diaspora Therapy Group, we offer specialized consulting, training, and speaking services that are tailored to diverse audiences, with a focus on culturally sensitive and trauma-informed practices. Whether your organization aims to enhance its understanding of trauma, explore intersectional issues, or develop robust mental health strategies, Dr. Dunne Lizama is dedicated to facilitating meaningful discussions and collaborative learning opportunities.
