Do you offer in person sessions?
Currently, we primarily offer telehealth sessions. However, some of our therapists are also accepting in-person clients. For further details or to inquire about availability, please reach out to us at admin@diasporatherapygroup.com. All sessions are conducted via a HIPAA-compliant platform to ensure privacy and confidentiality.
Do you offer Couple’s therapy?
Yes.
Do you offer a sliding scale for payment?
Sliding scale fees based on income are offered on a case by case basis with prior approval from your therapist. Please reach out to admin@diasporatherapygroup.com to discuss your options.
Do you accept Loveland Foundation Therapy Vouchers?
Yes, Our practice accepts vouchers from The Loveland Foundation. If you are a current voucher recipient, let us know so we can begin the process. If you’re a Black woman, girl or gender nonbinary therapy seeker age 18 or older, visit their website to learn more about their therapy fund.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations if notice is NOT RECEIVED AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE and No Shows will be charged the full session fee. This requirement is necessary because dedicated time is allocated exclusively for your sessions, and it is a commitment made to ensure the highest level of care and attention. Please note that this fee is not covered by insurance.
What days of the week are sessions available?
Sessions are available Monday through Friday. Requests for weekend hours can be made with an individual therapist.
How long is a session?
Therapy sessions are typically 50-60 mins in length.
Which insurance do you accept?
We currently accept Aetna, Optum/United Healthcare, Blue Shield Blue Cross, Magellan, Cigna, Beacon , TriWest and Carelon. We also offer credit card pay and superbill options for Out-Of-Network insurance.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
