About Me
Hi, I’m Josie! I’m a Master of Social Work (MSW) student at Point Loma Nazarene University, working to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
I’m passionate about working with adolescents, teens, and young adults, as well as supporting individuals through pregnancy, postpartum, and the changes that can come with becoming a parent. As a mother of two, I understand firsthand how parenthood can bring emotional and lifestyle changes. Having a baby can be such an exciting and joyful experience, but postpartum can also be a vulnerable time. There can be so many changes happening all at once, physically, emotionally, in your relationships, and in how you see yourself. I think it’s important for new mothers to have a safe place to talk about what they’re experiencing, even when those feelings are difficult or uncomfortable to talk about.
My goal is to create a space for you to feel comfortable, heard, and supported. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and I’m here to meet you where you are at. I approach my clients with curiosity, compassion, and respect, and look forward to providing you with the support you need.
